Vivienne's Verdict is excited to be part of Red Dot August, where artists of a wide range of genres get to showcase their talents at the picturesque Outdoor Theatre.
On the 4th of August, it was the first time that we are scheduled to perform on the very stage that many notable artists played before. We had a great time playing our hearts out, releasing endless energy throughout all our 3 sets of 45 minutes performances. There was a definite chemistry and unity on stage that became fond memories for us.
During soundcheck, we were fortunate to have the fighter jets flying past us for the final National Day Parade rehearsal and it enhanced the atmosphere and experience on stage with the roar of the engines shaking the ground.
We played songs like 'Block the Sun' and 'Fly Away' from the EP 'Depiction', which were about stopping war violence to provide light at the end of the tunnel for future generations, and to be your true self, respectively. One of the key highlights of the night was our latest release, 'Hurricane'. It was released early in the year, and this is the first time we fused electronic elements into a rock song. We also played our most well received track, ‘Monster’, to complete each set on a high note.
Good things must come to an end and we ended the memorable night by taking a picture with the audience. This performance with our latest lineup is our first step of connecting with the audience and spreading our music to more people. We will continue to produce more quality and heartfelt works and we hope you’ll be there to witness it with us.
